There you have it about christianity

What? A god who loves men provided that they believe in him, who casts evil gazes and threats at anyone who does not believe in this love? What? A love hemmed in by conditions as the feeling of an almighty god? A love that has not even mastered the feeling of honour and roused vengefulness? How oriental this all is! If I love you what does it concern you? is surely a sufficient critique of all of Christianity.

    You don’t understand… it’s a peculiar kind of love. It’s special, it’s divine.
    Right on Fred!

  2. ladysighs says:

I was just reading how young Nietzsche was when writing all this. And also read of his tragic illness and early death.
Yes, there you have it. Even if you read no more than the passage you posted, it ought to be more than enough.

  3. tabitha75 says:

Exactly – conditional love is not love, it is force; and where there is force there is no free will.

  4. Liberty of Thinking says:

1.Thou shall love thy God with all your heart, mind, strength, soul… otherwise he’ll send you to hell!
2.Be perfect as your HF is perfect…
3.”Son, if you don’t love me today, I’ll beat the c**p out of you like yesterday…”

    Makes me vomit…
