Some men can’t deal with the fact that some women don’t want to have sex with men, therefore they feel rejected by those women and therefore they think lesbianism is wrong.

What I find wrong with their suspension is to accuse them of lesbinaism because they were sharing beds and based on the suspicion of the colleagues. No one, it seems, thought it worthwhile to investigate these claims!
Reminds of when I was in high school and there was a lot of hype about devil worship and prior to that the president had even commissioned a study into devil worship in the country! What madness!

I think the Nigerian case is even worrying, where to support gays could land one in jail

Land one in jail …. in this day and age … no words really. But yes that would be more worrying, even though it is all sad really. The sheer ignorance of it all! Ignorance breeds fear and fear inevitably builds barriers against and in oppression of anything different or unknown which brings it all back to ignorance!

And how many …. who may support gay rights or do not care who pleasures whom …. are frightened into supporting such hateful laws?
We do protect ourselves if threatened with jail or worse if we are suspected of aiding/abetting.
As you wrote. Not good news.

In deed, it ain’t good news and I think it is worsened by some evangelicals from the west and especially from the US of A who are displeased with the growing acceptance of GLBTs in other democracies.

Great job in highlighting these very disturbing developments, my Nairobi brother! Once again, religion is used and clergy are interfering actively in the persecution of a segment of the population. Another step backwards towards the Inquisition! Much love, my friend!

The trend here ain’t good, in fact it is distressing, first it was the speaker of Uganda’s national assembly who said if such a bill goes to parliament it shall pass, then our not validly elected VP said during the campaigns that homosexuality is a sin. This trend, my friend, is bothersome.

It isn’t good, my brother. That’s why it’s important that these developments are brought to the attention of all, as you have done! Much love and naked hugs!
