An apologist lying through his teeth

If Jesus lived, he said[Mathew 5:17-19]

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

So, a christian who makes a claim to the contrary is cherry picking what to follow and is lying in the process.

  2. I’ve often asked Christians to tell me if the heavens and earth are still here. Unsurprisingly, they don’t answer.

I’m shocked, Mak, a TrueChristian lying? I’m shocked, shocked, that one would do so. 🙂

  3. Now just start a theism discussion with that passage! It’s fun, go on… try it. Go find a theist and ask them about that passage… most of them don’t know it’s there.

I am here with you; Jesus was a Jew and followed the law given to Moses by the One-True-God; so if a Christian followed Jesus then he cannot go against the core teachings of Moses that are the same core teachings of Jesus; he was a perfect man of One-True-God and did not literally claim to be a god or son of god.

Hard to “apologize” away the meaning of verse 19, but I’m more amused by the excuses proffered for ignoring Jesus’ instructions to go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor.

“An apologist lying through his teeth” – aren’t they all? Seems this one got stuck in the past. 😆
