I hope this is not true

A man has been hospitalized in Nigeria for his atheism.

The parents claim

that he was showing signs of delusion after he decided he no longer believed in God

what irony is this?

About makagutu

As Onyango Makagutu I am Kenyan, as far as I am a man, I am a citizen of the world

  1. Oh dear. That is so very very sad. Communism, fascism, theism – all just different forms of oppression.

This is very sad. And reli-fanatics (I mean the crazy cult leaders, not the average theist) are allowed to stay free.

    Also saw the article! Weird!

  4. Well, if you are deluded, of course someone who is not might look deluded to you, because he doesn’t believe in your delusion when it’s to obviously true (to you). Of course, Nigeria is a country where people still believe that children can be witches (and not in a trendy goth-pagan kind of way, meaning you dress in black and read stupid books about your inner goddess), so having a delusion could be considered a pretty popular hobby there…

  5. It is true. Very sad indeed.

Perhaps it’s the parents who are delusional? This is too weird. Thanks for posting, my Nairobi brother. 🙂

Sounds like the inmates have taken over the asylum —

I just realised I unfollowed you for some completely weird reason. Have no idea how that happened.
No wonder I wasn’t getting updates. I thought you’d buggered off somewhere. *Shakes head*
Sorry, Mak. Wasn’t ignoring you 🙂

Yes, this is sad and a dreadful indictment.

When will we as a species ever truly grow up I wonder?

    Ati irony?

The man may have been delusional seriously for real.

    • makagutu says:

How would that be possible bro?
It is like mad men in an asylum taking control of the facility and having their handlers in straight jackets

  12. Aquileana says:

Makagutu… I Wonder why he didn’t change his religion, instead…
That would have made more sense, I guess…
Best wishes and Happy weekend to you,
    Aquileana 😀
