Mark Twain thinks it is the descent of man from the higher to lower, where man occupies the lower ranks. I find his arguments plausible.

I love Mark Twain. He is as current today as years ago. I think of all the junky novels etc written and read today. So much time is wasted on trash.
Descent is for sure.

Before one gets a book they can read, you shall have waded through so much trash it is unbelievable.
Twain will remain current for a long time to come

Man occupies all ranks; he is the one who created the ranks

I think however he resides mainly at the bottom end of the list.

After seeing last night that in the last 40 years we have lost over 50% of all wildlife on this planet, due to “us” alone, I have to agree. We are the worst of all ravages ever released.

Much is waste. The oceans have apparently faired far worse. In the last 40 years natural fish numbers are down 75%! Netting is an atrocious means.

Of course he’s right. He’s my deity, and, as any good christian can tell you, deities are incapable of being wrong. No. Wait. I think they mean only their deity can’t be wrong. But who’s keeping track.

Are you polytheist? I can’t keep track of your deities 😀
Twain was great. He lived posthumously like Nietzsche

He does live posthumously, but he was very famous during his life time as well and many wrote about him. This is not true for Jeebus whom no one wrote about until well after he died. I’m now a monotheist. I’ve decided this fact to be true: There is no God but Batman and Bob Kane (his 1st writer) is His prophet. 😀

Oh yes, he does live posthumously too.
Plus we have sketches of Mark Twain. No one knows whether J. Hubris Christ had a dick to begin with!

Didn’t John determine Jeebus is actually a clone of Mary and a babe? Ya know, if she’s hot, I might be talked into converting to her.

The Jury is out on that. Diana didn’t agree and the other whacko doesn’t know a thing about that.
I think I like Jeebus as a babe. Explains the 12 male disciples.

Me too. Much more appealing. BTW, is that other guy on John’s blog a theist? I have absolutely no clue wtf that dude is talking about. He must be a politician.

Can we say he is an idiot? I think he is religious

Idiot. Agreed. Man, it physically hurts to read the sh*t he writes. If he were my student and wrote that crap in a rhetoric class I’d hand him a big fat F.

There is a book by polish author Stanislaw Lem (I think it was in his book “Golem XIV”, but I might be wrong) where he argues that bacteria, e.g. cyanobacteria, are the most perfect life form. They are using optico-chemical mycrotechnology, gain their energy from light, are self repairing, self-constructing etc. Men, on the other hand: arangements of levers, bellows, pumps – primitive mechanics. Life started perfect, then declined.
Now, we even don’t have working instincts again, we have to think about and invent every one of our steps, putting one patch on top of the next 🙂
