You were fortunate that there was no smog, when we were there some tourists could not even see from the Great Wall. And I believe it still is so.

You are so lucky to see China – and what a good friend you have to pay for it all! The closest I’ve been to China is Malaysia and Borneo, which was pretty dang awesome. I’m crazy about Asian cuisine, so thanks for the photos of food – YUM!

By late 1949, the People’s Liberation Army was pursuing remnants of KMT forces southwards in southern China, and only Tibet was left.”
