I met a coward

Who decided to delete my comments because I disagreed with him.

In my first comment I told him, I thought his argument was bad, regardless of his education. In my village those who call themselves Dr. are either medics or men and women who have shown their supervisors they have a mastery in a particular field. For fuck sake it is a Doctor of Philosophy! Logic should come with it.

The argument that because men have designed watches, the universe is designed but with one designer is a bad inference.

If one is going to argue that the universe has a designer because we have cars which have been designed, then this person must grant that the universe has had several designers to its current state. If they don’t grant this they are guilty of special pleading. Every watch is an improvement and work of many hands and if this is the inference we are going to use, then there have been many gods each improving the work of the previous god.

Natural theology takes a very special kind of ignorance; a trained, blinkered, perfectly selective ignorance.

    They all saw beauty.
A flower is spied: the majestic monkshood’s blue-purple colouring is adored, the work of a benevolent hand, surely, and undoubtedly deserving of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Ignored is the poison: a toxin so insidious death is delivered inside hours.

  2. Coward. Idjit. And windbag. Period. That’s what this dude is. Who designed god? If complex things by their nature must have a single designer because they’re so complex, surely god is more complex than the universe he designed. Thus, he must, too, have been designed. Who designed it? If god always just “was”, then why couldn’t what is have always been in one form or another? Why is it a single god designed the universe and not 80 of the same species of gods? Why is it the christian god that designed the universe and not the Muslim god or any other? Idiocy + cowardice = a-hole.

    I left a comment on his blog. I wonder if he’ll nibble…

The whole argument from design is crap. Watches can be verified to have been made by humans. They can’t independently verify that a creator made anything. What’s worse is that he’s trying to tell Christians that it’s a good argument. And they’ll buy it.

If there’s an ounce of logic in him, he should be willing to at least admit to the possibility.

I wonder if anyone else notices the discrepancy between the title ‘Continuing our discussionwith the atheist’ with the utter lack of any discussion and no commentary by THE atheist.

If one publishes, then one should expect dissent. It’s that simple. Otherwise, join a cult where no one is allowed to think for themselves. Good job, my Nairobi brother! 🙂

I dropped a comment. Doubt it will make publication. I copied it though 🙂

“You know, if you keep travelling forward, you will soon run right into your own asshole. Your reasoning is that circular. I don’t know what kind of moron thinks the watchmaker argument holds water, but I suspect they are really edumacated!”

His comment section only has 3 comments. This is his own comment:

“That’s a good one. You wouldn’t believe the comments I get from atheists about the blog!

    They HATE Jesus.

    Terrible.

    He STILL loves them!

    Love, Bob”

My gosh they really think we hate their non existant sky fairy don’t they? I find it difficult at best to hate things that don’t exist. Damned leprechauns and unicorns! Always fucking up my days! I will get even though one day…just you wait and see lol.

PhD in satirical writing perhaps? ‘Cause that is a joke post. Isn’t it?
You know you are losing brain cells every time you engage with that sort of thing, don’t you?

Keith, I promise I will stop responding to some of these people. How does one have a PhD and do so bad in such basic logic?

Hey man, your brain cells. Do what you will with them…what they will with them…never mind. Anyway, this guy is probably a doctor of divinity – another linguistic quirk like the ones in the previous sentence. One needn’t be a logician to be a Dr. of divinity. It may be counterproductive, in fact.
