    Again, we see the shear brilliance of religious thought at work. If a “scholar” were to suggest that the raping of Muslim men by non-Muslims should be allowed in order to teach Muslim men how awful rape is, would there be many complaints about it? I wonder.

    The reality is that this is not that different to what is implied in the Old Testament. If in doubt read Number 31.

    ISIS had prepared a rape guide based on Islamic laws for their fighters to follow.

    The reality is that this scholar may be closer to the reality of what the religion really teaches than the various apologists that keep telling us “Islam is a religion of peace”.

      This is a valid point. We aren’t talking about morals, ethics, heaven forbid, women’s rights over their own bodies (qv your previous post Mak), we are talking about academic religion. So, in those terms, it will most certainly make sense. In the Big Three, women are objects and chattels without rights. Things haven’t changed that much … we just have a superficial veneer of western civilisation that suggests they have.

        The basic implication in the Bible, Old Testament, is that wives are essentially the property of their husband and unmarried girls the property of their father. This is the basis upon which relevant Bible laws are constructed.

        I can’t speak for Islam in this regard but suspect it is similar.

    Ok. But context is the key here. Barring translation (or transcription) errors, she clearly states that said rape is strictly limited to “legitimate wars” between [believers] and their enemies for the purpose of humiliation–just like that other holy book. So the gods actually agree on this matter. And that makes all the difference

    Shame on you for failing to make this important distinction.

    Every time someone suggests something like this you can bet it is justified in their books of ignorance. All religion is despicable. Likewise those who would use their religion and or their magic books to justify rape, slaughter, pillaging, and land acquisition.

    I’m no authority but I dislike the bits where nice Moslems can have legitimate sex with little girls.
    I guess the authorities will have to rewrite Brit and Eu laws to accommodate them … and there’s Muslim authorities permitting carnal knowledge of ladies as young as one-year-old.

    (I pound the point in my ‘Cassandric’ blog but get no takers—I guess Mohammedans are too busy pounding babies to read ’em.)

    I think the Muslim justification for rape is that it is impossible, ‘cos woman with skirt up can run faster than man with pants down …

    Therefore any ‘rape’ claims must be illegitimate. Anyway, the other guy’s women have always been legitimate trophies (spoils) of war.

    This is downright stupid and I think those who believe this is Islaam are downright ignorant.
    If you knew true Islaamic law, you’d know that to harm women and children in any way even in battle, no matter what religion and race is expressly forbidden. Rape isn’t allowed in any circumstances, in any case to any person.
    Isis IS NOT ISLAAM, their beliefs and actions are so contradictary to Islaam, they cannot even be called Muslim.
    Learn true Islaam before branding Muslims and making claims, please.
