just for laughs

Mark Twain wrote, in one of his many books, that

There are many humorous things in the world; among them, the white man’s notion that he is less savage than the other savages

and Trevor Noah has written

if you are a Native American and pray to the wolves, you are a savage, if you are African and you pray to your ancestors, you are primitive but if when white people pray to a guy who turns water into wine, well, that’s just common sense.

And that fellow, Veracious Poet, who I disagree with most of the time, did ask

am I the only one who thinks it’s funny that a Jew died for the love of Africans?

I find Noah’s jokes gross and like Baldwin he has no class.

  2. Look, the only sensible truth in life is this: “There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is His Prophet.” This is the only belief that isn’t simply made up, savage silliness. I know this because the Koran tells me it’s true. Case settled. Thanks, and try hard to less savage today by realizing the truth of the Koran. 🙂

I think comedy is like beauty and in the eye of the beholder, or in the case of verbal comedy, in the ear of the hearer. I loved Jon Stewart and he made me laugh with just his facial expressions. I can’t seem to get the humor of Trevor Noah. I loved the two stand up comedies I seen him in online, but I just don’t think the show format fits him. He doesn’t seem funny to me on the show. Hugs
