Please bear in mind that Muntzer probably had in mind Martin Luther and the Catholic Church when he was referring to the ungodly.
Muntzer was a part of what is no termed to ‘radical reformation’ of the 16th century. These folk saw mainstream reformers such as Luther and Calvin as compromisers.
A bit like the modern tensions between radical and mainstream Islam today.

I agree with you Peter. You are indeed correct. Munzter saw Luther and the University as an enemy. And this list of enemies included the Catholic Church and the lords

My enemies only include Darth Vader and the Emperor, so I’m one up on this dude.

It seems to me that he had a most direct link to TOOAIN*. Who hates EVERYONE.
Of course, the more rational approach is to see the LOVE of TOOAIN for us. The same way as we love a well-charred steak or a delicious curry! (Nourishment and pleasure. Yahweh’s only need for humanity)

I think the godly have no right to be flapping their yaps about realities they cannot grasp or understand because of the hinderance caused by their religion.

For him, anyone who didn’t believe as he did was godless. And yes, I think he was looking for the problem in the wrong place. It is the religion that is the problem

I would too.
Brings to the fore these people who kill their fellows for believing in the wrong way. All madness if you ask me

What a fine fellow. Nice. Compassionate, and understanding of other people and their beliefs. Wish I knew him personally. 🙂

That’s the overall worldview of the theists who condemn those who believe differently from whatever belief they hold. Woe to those who see things in a different light.
