Pope cuddle on atheists

The Pope cuddles while addressing a church gathering said

But to be a Catholic like that, it’s better to be an atheist.’ It is that: scandal

But this is an insult to atheists. To compare dishonest and hypocritical Catholics to atheists is to claim we are dishonest, which we are not and it is a poor reading of his sentiments that would make anyone think he has respect for atheists.

  1. He must have found out I eat babies. Apparently not all atheists do that. They’re missing out, I tell ya’. I’d rather be a bad atheist than a pedophile Catholic priest who’s allowed to continue raping kids cause the Church hides him in a variety of unknowing parishes time and time again. 🙂

After 2,000 years of lies and deceit from Rome, what else can you expect? Old habits and condemnations die hard, my Kenyan brother! Have a great weekend and naked hugs! 🙂

I couldn’t agree more. He’s no dummy, fully aware that atheists are stigmatized, viewed as the least trusted and the most hated. We now have studies showing why they are prejudice, and it has to do with death anxiety. We remind them of their finality. But to say that they may as well be an atheist is to suggest that atheists are going to hell, and so are Catholics who don’t follow Jesus’ teachings. It suggests that when you follow Catholic doctrine, you are truly a Christian, and that means you are Christ like, e.g., you are a moral, ethical person.

Still waiting for the Catholics and Protestants, and their tax exempted, profit focused institutions to do as Jesus commanded: to sell all their possessions, and give it to the poor.

In my books, atheists have higher trust/ethics levels.

Glad to know that this Argentinian fellow is so taken with us, but you are right, he’s all fake humility, and he needs to stop using us as scapegoats for his cult followers.

On another blog (WEIT?) I also expressed the doubt if the Pope knows what atheism is.

Thanks for the comment – it was good to check out the back-and-forth on that blog.
Dutch looks good on a blog – especially the “Reacties” translation of “comments,” which English should really adopt.
The Netherlands seems to have led the world in the physician-assisted suicide civil right, which is taking a long time here in the US, and which will suffer a terrible setback when the lickspittle Gorsuch becomes a Supreme Court judge for life. One of, if not THE, largest institutional opponents of the right to die with dignity? That Bergoglio’s cult.

I don’t know. My take is he’s pontificating his moral pecking order:

    1. True™ Catholics
    2. Atheists
    3. Hypocritical Catholics

So we’re actually in second place on his favorite person’s list.
