Lecky writing many years ago opined that
A state of great internal disquietude is often a temptation to war, not because it leads to it directly, but because rulers find a foreign war the best means of turning dangerous and disturbing energies into new channels, and at the same time of strengthening the military and authoritative elements in the community.
And this is almost true to a T in the US presently. It is like they have all but forgotten about Russiagate, Ivanka, Kushner, Gorsuch? and their orange president.
And while we are at it. The president has banned Syrians from going to the US but he can bomb it. And while bombing Syria he behaves like the god of the old testament, destroy whatever you can, kill whoever you want except the one responsible. Isn’t the act of the US government an act of war?
Oh, yes indeedy!
It seems the Law of the US is so often like the rule of business: See a need and satisfy it. And if no need is apparent, create one! WMD anyone? Or maybe Vietnam? And you can bet your backside if the US do go in, the UK will be pulled along, Trump or no Trump.
Oil price will spike and the weapons manufacturers will be rubbing their palms together. and creaming their designer suits.
Just what ISIS want, and the most popular job on the block will be the 5 Minute Truck Driver.
Praise the Lawd?

Since TRump promised jobs and it seems they are not forthcoming, war is good for business. It will drive oil prices up, create demand for the greenback and his base will be happy even if some of them remain dirt poor.
Their policy on war reminds me of the saying if there was no god, one had to be created. For them if there is no crisis, one has to be manufactured.

Oh yes it is. I’m actually disturbed by this decision to bomb a people you banned from your country. It wasn’t well thought out.

I’m freaked out actually, because the deja-vu seems to be deja-happened, just looking for the excuse for an invasion. And with Putin’s Russia on high-alert, with warnings such as “one step away” I don’t feel comfortable at all…
When a power’s only export “product” has become WAR, sanity/reason have all gone down the drain, together with (in agreement with Dylan) my sense of humanity…

There’s something terribly wrong with a country whose best is this creature…
Mrs Clinton wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but this entity?
Until last minute, I thought I’ll wake up from a nightmare, but I actually woke up in the middle of one…

tRump also acted unilaterally on this. Lord tRump says, “Bomb Syria”, and Syria is bombed. He has no plan, no ideal outcome from this. He simply needed to lift focus from what a treasonous, stinking pile of shit he is, so he bombed Syria, a country he clearly does not give a fuck about. Be prepared world: tRump is comin’, and he’s gonna fuck you very, very hard in the ass.

What’s his end game. Will he keep bombing till the price of oil goes to 150$ a barrel and US crude has market?

He doesn’t have one. He did this to distract people here from his Russian scandal bullshit. This fucker is everything awful you can think of about the U.S. times infinity. He’s a pure, unadulterated fuck head.

An ex coworker who I spar with has blocked my email account because I vocally disputed this travesty. So sad, but it is hard to respect someone who remains a Trumpalo.

Is he planning to bomb NK too? Or why issue threats to China?

Act of war. Act of impulsiveness. Act of distraction. Act of just about everything except an act of humanitarian aid.

My Kenyan brother and friend, you are so “on-point” with this! Thank you for stating what so many here in the USA fail to see. This is awesome! Much love and many naked hugs!

Just as early as Monday Herr tRump was saying we shouldn’t bother with Syria at all. Let the people who live there deal with Assad. Now he bombs the fucking place and his fucking idiot, drone followers think it’s great. I fucking hate this guy, but I hate the idiots who support him even more.

There are his tweets from 2013 telling Obama to consult Congress on any action on Syria and others saying Obama would want to bomb some place because his rating is down. The tweets are biting him in the ass, literally

We know what HE is. The problem is, indeed, with the followers. Like the woman whose husband was deported…she still says she would vote for Trump.
