Oh dear. I would urge Jennifer to never ever google “where did white people come from” or anything about Mitochondrial Eve. She’d be really disappointed to know her great greats looked a lot more like Aunt Jemimah than say Bo Derek.
And by the way; if “god” is in control why is she complaining? All that sin and race mixing is clearly part of god’s perfect plan.

  2. What do you say to something like that!

  3. If you read up about Sheats, she had a history of mental illness and her and her husband were on and off. I couldn’t find anything about black boyfriends. That Jennifer woman is just coming out with total supposition, which apart from being irresponsible, is evil. A mother who kills her daughters is a martyr? Dear me.

At first I thought it was satire. But I read a few of her other posts, and I’m like WTF? Did you read her Martin Luther King, Jr. post?

Erhm Mah Gherd. Her whole blog is the motherlode of ignorant shit. I could get a months worth of posting from here.
      “Spreading Positivity through Jesus Christ”
      LOL!
      or this tidbit:

“My husband wore a Tom Ford suit. Even though Mr. Ford is a homosexual my husband says the seams and threading are the best quality he’s seen. So I allow it for his happiness.”

      Big of her.

I’m with you, Victoria. I was just sure it was satire (how sad that it isn’t). I wonder if she’s aware the Jewish people (who were the inventors of her god and his son) were dark-skinned?

But even more to the point … to justify someone killing another human being (much less her own children!) is straight from the Pits of Hell (which she undoubtedly believes in) and orchestrated by “Satan” himself!

Nan, when you think about it, the very foundation of the Abrahamic religions is, well, Abraham, who was willing to murder his son. I live around these types of people. She’s from the state next door. The only thing keeping them from going full-on Crusade is the fact that they are living in a secular country. For now, that is.

That’s why I quote from the links I leave here. I’ve already done the reading for you. I don’t expect the host to read the posts.

I popped into FB yesterday and noticed that the post in your OP is making its rounds again (going viral for the 2nd time), even though it’s a year old.

    Seems to be true

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3739062/Texas-daughters-shot-dead-mom-Christy-Sheats-called-family-meeting.html

Mother who shot her two daughters did so after calling a ‘family meeting’

Christy Sheats, 42, shot Taylor, 22, and Madison, 17, at home on June 24

She told her daughters and husband, Jason, they needed have a talk
Sheats then pulled a gun on her family and opened fire inside the house

  6. I have no doubt there are very sick people who would commit all manner of crime in the name of God, but the picture of Christy Sheats in the post looks fake to me.

In deed, there are all manner of people who will commit crimes in the name of god/s. But to write about it as it’s the best thing after sliced bread and thermos flask is madness

Im thinking its reverse psycology. Satire with a purpose of helping others see how deluded some people can be. Ive read some of her other posts… i doubt they are really her personal thoughts. They are writings for others to recognize the flaws in such thinking.

Do you think, if I was about to shoot my daughter for having a short boyfriend ( say I don’t like short people) and I read that post, would be in anyway enlightened that it is not a good thing to do? Or will I go like eh, someone else has done it?

I read the poat and came away that the way the mother was portrayed was as killing her daughters because of the race of their boyfriends. However the truth was not that at all, at least from the articles I read on the actual situation.
The blog author, in my opinion, was trying to make a point about racism/bigotry in families by stretching the truth of the actual story so it included whatnnshe wanted to say.

From what I have read, the mother did not kill her daughters because of race or religion for that matter.
That this blog author has chosen to do that is inexcusable. Even a generous reading of her post would not lead me to believe she is pointing out bigotry.

From a Fusion article about Jennifer Mayers:

“With an online footprint that is non-existent before her Twitter account was started in April 2015, it seems likely that Mayers is not in fact a Baton Rouge housewife but a clever troll with a knack for getting under people’s skin. It’s unclear what the motivation would be for creating the fake account, beyond the joy of a prank that upsets people. And maybe some monetary profit:

Whether Mayers’ brand of fundamentalism is real or faked, though, doesn’t really matter. Online, it can be impossible to distinguish between the two. Mayers’ tweets and posts rack up dozens of comments, mostly from people horrified by her bigotry. But they receive many sincere likes and retweets, too. Her posts about Sheats spawned other blog posts regurgitating her unfounded theory that Sheats shot her daughters for having interracial dalliances, even though it was an idea Mayers clearly pulled out of thin air. Her tweets may be a “pornography of hate,” but they are spreading real-life hate, too. Parody, removed enough times from its source, can become reality and convince others that their terrible bigotry is socially acceptable.”

So she is manufacturing hate as she goes along or she really believes the shit she writes. I mean there are people who believe a donkey talked. How far removed is this from that anyway?

This is from a Christian blog:

“Just so it’s clear, this is the toxic Christianity I’ve been talking about. While it’s satire, I don’t think it’s completely out of nowhere. Too much of white evangelical Christianity looks like this, though obviously not to this degree of infamy. Too much of our morality is the product of this toxic combination of patriarchy, privilege, and white supremacy. We need to be rescued from our self-justification, which is the root of our toxicity.”

  12. I guess skin tones will never stop being an issue, but it makes me sick to hear of murdering over it!
People are people are people, some we like, some we don’t, but skin colour should have nothing to do with it!

If we must kill anyone, it should only be in self defense and if we have tried walking away and there is no room for it.
To kill someone for their choices is the height of intolerance

  13. Fascinating and discomforting piece of writing. I think this is a deliberate, and mean-spirited, parody. I agree very much with this statement from the quote Victoria provided above: “Parody, removed enough times from its source, can become reality and convince others that their terrible bigotry is socially acceptable.”

I have an ex co-worker who I sometimes see. I love Al-he is a hilarious raconteur.

I don’t know if he has always been this way or his advancing age is bringing out the true racist side, but he started sending me crazy stuff about Obama planning to destroy America and the like. I shared this with him, and while acknowledging it as a satire he admitted that while he would not resort to violence, he would have disowned his daughters.

I don’t know what to think…I am steadily losing respect for him.

He would disown his daughters! Now that is on the other end of the spectrum.
He reminds me of the Ewells in To Kill a Mockingbird. Father couldn’t live with the idea that his daughter tempted a black man. That such people exist in real life, in 2017, is disheartening.
