My point in this article was not to push the simple fact that atheism is not to be mistaken for a belief in a communist ideology, it was simply to prove that any walk of life can be a believer in the communism, and in fact all of us would like to see a less capitalistic mindset and more of a collective society.
What I am saying is you can be from any walk of life and be a communist or not, it is completely up to you.
The first Christians were communist

Anyone who wants a better world should be a communist.

It should be the goal of all societies. The problem of human nature, though, tends to mess that whole idea up. It could work if everyone was an artist in some shape or form.

I’m an artist when it comes to cooking christian babies. I think it would be great to from a commune of atheists who share their recipes for cooking baby christians equally and without demanding money for them. Ah, what a lovely place that would be.

You’re a job creator! Someone has to make the babies first.

Since condoms, abortion, and birth control pills are off limits to christians, they’re great at supplying me with an unlimited source of food.

We will not lack for food.

Are you suggesting that Christians are in some level are responsible for climate change?

Don’t know where you get that from, but no. As a godless atheist, I’ve been devouring christian infants for decades. Thus, since christians do not believe in birth control, they supply me with a limitless source of food. YUMMY!!!

I don’t know if I’d want to see more of a collective society, at least not at this point in time. People need to mature social ethics first. Without it, any economic system is going to suffer the drawbacks of previous ones.
I really don’t think communism (or even socialism, for that matter) is a healthier form of economy than capitalism. All it does is change who holds the whip.

As an anti-social misanthropist, I am a little iffy about group based societies as well.

What would be the problem with a collective society? Why do we have trade unions and other such worker associations? IS not to drive a collective agenda?
Socialism is a means to an end. The idea is to relegate profit motive which is what drives capitalism. It is profit making that makes universal healthcare a mirage for many everywhere in the world. I could give many examples

My position relies on the idea that the profit motive has to be removed completely from the entire economic picture, which even socialism doesn’t do. As long as individual decisions can influence where stuff goes and at what price, you can corrupt the entire system.
Now, if a society established a fully automated economy for necessaries (that is, supplying the stuff needed for living), that would be an idea I can get behind. Such a system is not socialist or capitalist, because nobody would physically control it.

I can get behind that. Once we remove the profit motive, there would be little point in exploiting other humans

Atheism = communism like Christianity = slavery or like capitalism = equality. Oh, wait! Christianity does kinda equate to slavery – lol!

The OTHER Abrahamic plague on society is more explicit: Islam equals SUBMISSION.

It is slavery of the worst kind. It enslaves the mind.
