    Primary school teachers, nurses, hospice workers, animal rights advocates, scientists. Give or take (I’m sure I’m forgetting some critical group), this should be the pool.

    I wonder how we could get past the same problems we face raising juries? And that public sortition is only for a few days.

  5. Grand idea. Like John said, school teachers, social workers, and people with empathy toward others need to be those picked for the positions. Money-grubbing business f**kers and sh*t-face lawyers must be picked rarely if ever. We see what happens when they run things.
