Fondly known as the great Agnostic.
It is possible there are Americans and others who visit this blog who have never had the opportunity to either read or listen to this great agnostic.
I am here to address this ignorance and at the same time to introduce you to a tradition of freethought.
Brutal truth

Thanks to you Mak I have read a fair bit of Ingersoll. I dare say, I feel the same way as he does. Truth is truth no matter what generation we exist in.

There is such a rich tradition coming out of Murica in the early years. Lewis and so on. Bold, courageous and eloquent. How that brand of evangelical Christianity survives in such a rich environment of freethought defeats me

It be a tenacious sort of brain rot Mak. Contagious through family exposure, devious in its design where it makes otherwise normal people belive stupid shit, and with built in guilt filters to keep the wannabe strayers in the seats. If you can pull off all of that generation by generation, you have a decent chance of survival. It also has the notable side effect of supplying tRump supporters.
