You said, “A wise one created us “;
That may be true, we would agree.
“Outside of time and space,” you postulated.
Then why not say at once that you
Propound a mystery immense
Which tells us of our lack of sense?
Al Ma’arri along with Al Rawandi (?) Are among some of the greatest Arab skeptics and poets who scandalized the Arabs through their open disdain for religion, and superstition, and especially for Islam.
One wishes they had carried the day.
Indeed, the world would be an entirely different place!
Two Universal Sects
“They all err – Moslems, Jews.
Christians, and Zorastrians;
Humanity follows two world-wide sects;
One, man intelligent without religion,
The second, religious without intellect.”
Happy Thursday, my Kenyan brother! Naked hugs!

I like that.
It seems the deep thinkers in religion can’t tell that they are doing a confirmation bias exercise. When you start off believing you are right with no exception, it turns out (wrongly) that you are of course right with no exception.
Borders on mentally ill if you ask me…

After being told that the world was created by a super powerful, unseen, timeless, space-less being whom no one can know yet really does exist so don’t doubt him, little 9 year old Jimmy said to his religious teacher, “Aw, go fuck a turtle, ya’ nutter!”

the whole outside time and space is one of the stupidest excuses theists invent. if there is no time, there is nothing going on, if there is no space, there is no room for anything else 😉

Their god exists out of time and space. How this happens is beyond my pay grade

I think our very own John Z asks a question in response to this: Why creation, then? Something no religiot has ever coherently answered,

Apologists argue that the universe was caused by a an timeless, spaceless, immaterial being. In other words: by nothing,

It’s somewhat sobering to realize that the Arab world in Al-Ma’arri’s time was the pinnacle of civilization.

Hey! Our civilization, when not busy making flying missiles and $2 billion airplanes that cannot fly in the rain, is making toothbrushes that communicate with the internet so you can know better where to brush!
