An yes, the broken telephone …
”Bring three and four-pence, we’re going to a dance.”
Can you guess – or do you know – the original?

Nope. There were no telephones in my village

The term broken telephone ( or Chinese whispers) is the same thing as an oral version of the video – which is hilarious, by the way.
The original is claimed to have come from World War I and was passed from soldier to soldier along the trenches in the Front Line. It was finally relayed to a General back in HQ.
The message began as : ”Send reinforcements, we’re going to advance.”

I’ve done something similar as a kid. It is fun and nobody gets the message right.

No captioning necessary — it’s just the actions. The language was foreign anyway.

Just what Nan said. It’s interesting how instructions get lost along the way, and this is a very short way
