Slow news day

I know this is old news but the way it is being reported uncritically baffles me.

So god allowed the church building to burn so she could save a few bibles. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I think there is something really unstable about such a mind and those who praise her, but that’s just me.

Happy Sunday

Happy to see you weren’t on that plane heading home this weekend.

Ranked right up there with a devastating earthquake or fire or tornado, hundreds of lives lost, but someone holds up a bible or crucifix and smiles for the selfie, saying, God saved us, and this was our reminder…never mind that three hundred people died in the event, they were saved and that’s what counts.

It’s some kind of cockamamie proof that Jesus spared them and not someone else, look look, I found Mother’s Bible. That means I’m important.

    I don’t understand it either.

Unstable is an understatement. The arrogance and stupidity of man is unbelievable!

You can guarantee that the way the books are laid out in the photograph is not the way they were found.

Don’t they realise that paper is a very good insulator? A pile of books in a fire are likely to survive with only the outermost books scorched. And it would make little difference if the books were Bibles, War And Peace or One Hundred and Twenty Days of Sodom.

      Hey Barry.
You have been missed, I hope there has not been a bad migraine or inclement weather keeping you away from us, or ill health of those close to you.
You are right about the placement of books and their insulation properties.

It’s nice to think that I’m missed by some. The locals don’t seem to have noticed 😦

I’ve started some new medication and while I feel much better for it, I’m experiencing a disconnect, even with the more rational blogs. I’m even finding I have no interest in liking posts or comments. I’m hoping it’s only a temporary thing – I’ve had similar side effects before, although previous meds have been far less effective than this one in treating the migraines. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this might be THE medicine that provides some long term relief.

Perhaps the medicine gods will work with you this time.😜
