Reasons to be a christian

Who knew?

And here, Satan gets a bad rap while the harbinger of light is Lucifer. How does this work? God knew we would sin, before we were even a dream, died for us and we still continue to sin so that pastors can make money reminding us that god died for our sins.

  1. Genesis is consistent with science? OK! I’m convinced now! Sign me up for Christianity!

Sarah, dear, you might want to think about your phrasing in this list of reasons: this one, in particular:

Christianity is the best explanation for evil

It would seem you are using Christianity as an excuse for evil…
    Or maybe it’s just me…?

”if we believe that Jesus died for our sins, but still carry the guilt of our sin, we won’t truly receive the blessing and freedom of His forgiveness.” So we only get redemption if we have guilt free sin through jeezus? This is the old “not perfect just forgiven” mantra that stimulated the “why try” gene. It’s an excuse to be mediocre.

that one gives me a headache, jim. Not sure what sin is guilt free, and, besides, ‘define sin’…I just had this image of a bank robber boasting, “yeah I stole their damn money and Im not sorry, nope.” he gets a free ride right into heaven, right?

Only if he is sorry. But carry on being mediocre and using grace as a justification. Grace though faith is a crippling dogma that feels good, but goes nowhere but absolve personal responsibility.

I think we should be sinning without guilt. NO need to carry the guilt around

Well you know when Christians talk about morality what they really mean is sexual purity. Governing nature rarely works. Education and governing our own behavior in this matter certainly couldn’t be worse than what they’ve done to wreck everything for their own pious control.

Genesis is consistent with science = Moron.

Historical case for Jeebus = Hasn’t actually done any research.

The rest is a bunch of air headed blonde fluff.

Rusty Gardner sounds very informed on babble delusions.

Hello Mak. I wonder if the Christians that spout platitudes ever really think about the words they pour out? I think these people are treating their religion like watching a well known hit TV series. It is fashionable and they repeat something that they think makes them sound like they really understood the recent episode even though they were clueless about it. Hugs
