But I thought that was the “road to nowhere!” Is it instead the road to Nairobi? Have a great weekend, my Kenyan brother! 🙂

I am not certain that road will get you to Nairobi.

I lived for two decades in the high desert of Nevada and its landscape in the summertime looks very similar to yours.

I actually like the Basin and Range region of Northern Nevada. Highway 50 is an amazing drive.
The Mojave desert, though? That is ugly. 🙂
In my Google Maps Obsession, though, the bleakest place on earth has to be the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile and much of Peru. Some areas of Northern Chile have NEVER seen measurable rainfall. 🙂 Not a blade of grass or a tuft of wiry shrub! Amazing and eerie place. Would love to visit!

Northern Nevada (i.e. Reno) is where I lived. Hwy 50 was one of my frequent routes.
I know a couple of people who’ve been to the Atacama, and they said its raw natural beauty was spectacular!

That region receives very little rainfall

Well enough I suppose. Life keeps me busier than I’d prefer, which is why my blog visits and posts are in sad decline. But otherwise doing alright I think.
