John Wick

An act in 3 (or is it 4) parts because someone was mad enough to steal a car and kill a puppy! I am grateful to Helen for being so thoughtful to leave him a puppy as a present. Without that puppy, and it is not just a puppy, we would not have three great films.

Lesson here being don’t kill a man’s puppy. And don’t steal his car.

Why would Winston cross Baba Yaga after he has risked his life to protect him and the Continental?

We will have to wait till 2021 to know what the last man you see as you die does to the High Table and to Winston. Hopefully, it will be them running for their dear lives and not the other way round.

Just so we are clear, I don’t care if you don’t like John Wick 🙂

Very heavy movies. The first one was great. Afterwards it was a bit like watching the Matrix films but with longer hair.

  5. He’s a great character, it plays like a graphic novel most of the time to me, I’m looking forward to number three, the first was the best but having said that I enjoyed the second well enough. I love a good revenge and justice tale that is just that. The Count of Monte Christo! V for Vendetta! And also John Wick.

I know you’re just being naughty but I’d still consider it unjust not to defend Mr Wick against your Trumpian (misleading) remarks.
It isn’t about the car per se, that only compounds his anger, which is rooted in grief at losing his wife, and that sweet little dog is basically his physical connection to her. She gave him that dog shortly b4 her a companion. They killed his dog while he’s still grieving. Come on man, wtf! Hsow some respect, show some compassion. I’d be pissed, you’d be pissed.

I think given the circumstances, he was a little lenient with the Russians. 😉

I don’t think I’ve seen the second one yet. I’ll have to look for it. I’ll probably catch the 3rd when it works its way to cable.

I generally don’t care for these “super human” Rambo movies where just one guy manages to take out an entire army by themselves. But I can occaisionally suspend my preference for reality long enough to catch a movie like this here and there.

I liked Red and Red 2.

I can suspend ,y preference for reality for as long as a movie is playing. And for some reason, these heroic feats are attention grabbing. Reminds me of Kill Bill 1 & 2 where our hero kills all those in her way and settling a score with Bill.
