I wonder what age I would like to remain?

It is.
I think the age would depend, for me, at least on the quality of life at that point

The trick is to die young as late as possible.

Exactly.
So well put, Jim

I wish it was mine, but can’t remember where I read that. Not only is my short term memory bad, but so is my short term memory

Though I have read of some Greek who said the best is not to be born but once born to die sooner

I have dibs on age 22. But with my current workout regime and fitness level, not my utterly unathletic 22 year old self. Although I did do bicycling back then, too.
Eternally 22, until the inevitable suddenly occurs. It is the Christian love of suffering that demands we age into feebleness

At 22 I wasn’t doing any exercises, if I recall correctly.
But since I am still so young, even if I was to retain my current age till the inevitable happens, I would be alright

Hey maka: Did I say something offensive? It says comment awaiting moderation? But it was posted without moderation warning earlier.

I will check once I am on the computer. At least we can be sure it’s not I who put it on hold

Moderation warning gone again. Must have been a glitch.

I don’t even know how it went to moderation. I have enemies but you know you are not one of them

First, I have NEVER wanted to be immortal. Second, forever young? A very polite but HELL no! At some point, we ALL need to assume some responsibility! Very clever, my Kenyan brother! 🙂 Naked hugs!

I’d like to have a 24 year old body but with my mind as now. I cope far better with my mental health issues now, than I did then.

I am trying to remember my life at 24 and most of it is a blur. If I can stay at say 33 for as long as is required, I would be good

The only reason I picked 24 is that it was during my first job and I was a buff critter, thanks to being a field geologist. 🙂

A word of advice to the young from an old fart:
Take care of your body and mind. Exercise regularly, get enough sleep, eat healthy foods, and don’t abuse yourself with alcohol, drugs, and destructive behavior. You might feel indestructible now, but it’s only an illusion. The damage you do to yourself today will come back to haunt you tomorrow… big time.
Don’t care? Don’t think it’ll matter? Think old age is too far in the future to worry about? Think again. Don’t end up miserable like so many friends and family members of mine who are obese, diabetic, toothless, addicted to pain medications, confined to a wheelchair, and under constant medical supervision. It’s not a pleasant life.

I try to keep my mind busy. I have a mile of excuses for why I don’t exercise regularly

I exercise fanatically. Which helps. But when one is addicted, that leads to things like consuming a pint of ice cream in the evening. 😦 I am trying to cut back. Blood sugar was a little high, as was the bad cholesterol. (Good cholesterol and tri glycerides were good, and blood pressure was pretty good…so)

I think I will have to resume an active exercise regime
