In tv commercials here, he has a definite red tinge. But who cares, he makes fantastic pizzas. I finished off a pizza made in Hell less than an hour ago. I wanted a Lamb of the Damned, but they were sold out, so I settled for a Lust Deluxe. The wife had an Underworld. Delicious!

Perhaps you can send your moral policeman our way. He’s not likely to survive the shock. It will either cure him or kill him: Churches marrying same sex couples; unmarried couples having the same right and privileges as married couples; prostitution and brothel keeping is legal as is pimping, soliciting and living off the earnings of prostitution; Hell outlets in almost every town; The teaching of religion is prohibited during school hours; a church was successfully prosecuted by a government agency for claiming that Jesus cures cancer. I could go on, but you get the picture. We’re a den of Sin ๐

He will not survive. He bans songs because they have sexual innuendo. If he could, youtube would be banned because they stream content that has homosexual themes.

I had to Google “watershed period” as it’s not a term used here. Is your comment your own opinion or what you believe to be the opinion of your moral policemen? I believe the only restrictions we have is for alcohol which cannot be shown on TV between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm, and tobacco products, which are completely banned from all forms of advertising or display.

We too have a publications classification authority. But what it most certainly is not is a moral policeman or a champion of morals. It’s not permitted to take on that role.

Well, since all atheists are demons, worship Satan, and are black, it simply stands to reason that the devil himself would be black. Right?

I found the linked article (but not the commentariate here!) rather silly. The reason there was no physical description of “Jesus” is that the faith was at least initially a Jewish cult. No need for racial definitions, His early followers probably assumed he was a typical swarthy, bearded, smallish Semitic male. Only the odd obsessions of Europeans who defined and redefined race to the point of silliness means we are having this conversation!

Like beauty, evil is in the eye of the beholder.
For me, personal experience matters. I grew up in predominantly white suburbia. In the army, I was an ethnic minority among a majority of black soldiers. I’ve lived and worked in multicultural urban communities. I’ve also resided in rural places where bigotry and racism were rampant.
I can tell you this: there is no greater devil than a white supremacist.

I “liked”. But I would note that tribalism and bigotry are not limited to the white race. The sheer savagery of what is going on right now in Myanmar is eye watering. (The New York Times Magazine had a lengthy article on the situation last month). ๐ฆ

The Rohingya refugee crisis in Myanmar is indeed terrible. However, I wasn’t referring to ubiquitous bigotry and tribalism. I was referring specifically to white supremacists in the U.S. who have been perpetrating violent institutional racism for hundreds of years. I’ve seen these people up close. I know what’s in their hearts and minds. Their hatred runs so deep that there is literally no inhuman act they wouldn’t do. And now, they have a political leader in Trump who inspires them… just like Hitler did in Nazi Germany.

I have not kept abreast of what is happening in that part of the world. The last I heard it has resulted in a serious humanitarian crisis with no end in sight especially because Bangladesh and India are not very friendly to the refugees

If you believe in a specific god or devil – and when he appears before you, he will take whatever pigmentation you expect him to take.
In this series, I don’t see Obama playing the part of the devil – I see the Moroccan actor.
But if one really wants to meet a devil – try the politicians, priests and purse-snatchers (aka bankers). They come in all shades too.
