    The only surprise here is how those whorish 9 year old girls are losing their virginity….in which case, I suspect the act was not of their own choosing. As to the suggestion that men should be forced to declare their virginity before marriage……..

        Muslims are known for their extreme paternalistic society…the idea that they would ever hold a man to the same sexual standard as women is outright ridiculous. The day I see that happen is the day I will start expecting to ascend into heaven. LOL

          Generally, purity concerns are about women. So you find when they say she has been dishonoured it’s simply to say she has known a man. I have not seen a similar thing for dudes. The day it happens I might just decide to be Muslim

    The US has similar ideals about abstinence and womens virginity in Christian fundamentalist culture. Fundamentalist conservative culture around the globe – regardless of any particular religion, or even lack of it – tends to be based on the very same basic fears humans have. The Christian fundies in the US even have these new practices of girls making a special promise to their fathers, to remain virgins. I hear it has led to a lot of anal sex, as that somehow magically is not losing one’s virginity. It is interresting how innovative and “progressive” conservative culture gets, in it’s attempts to preserve their values instead of re-evaluating the values based on new information.

    The foundational problem stems from ignorant parents being scared about sexuality as a subject. So much so, that they can not talk about it to their kids, or even let professional educators to talk about it to the kids. It is because they always see their own chilldren as children and want to protect the kids from sexuality as long as possible, but are so ignorant about their own sexuality, that they have no clue as to when kids are old enough to understand sexuality. This is the wellspring from wich all sorts of perversions come forth from, for when sexuality (and even nudity) is treated by the culture as something especially strange, alien, hidden and even forbidden, people get all sorts of twisted ideas about it.

      There is anal sex and others I hear go for reconstructive surgery. I’m interested in learning how sex became such a taboo subject in most of human societies. How did the rules around it develop? Why are so many people prude when it comes to sex?
