On death and suffering

Death and suffering can’t matter nearly as I think they do. Since they are so common my taking them seriously must mean that I am insane. I must try to be Saber.

Excellent! As I’ve studied many of the pre-christian indigenous people of the Americas they seem to share this common thread. When the missionaries use death as a conversion tool to fear them to christ, it is laughable, and sometimes audibly so. We did a much better job teaching the Native to fear using the sword and musket.
