Nice. You should film a ride, POV. It’d be fun to watch.

That would be cool! There is a British cycling vlogger. Plump, 50ish, I other words someone I (we?) can identify with who is not a 22 year old 119 pound greyhound on the bike. His channel is called leonardmlee. Check him out

I actually went for a ride all by my lonesome. Which is 95% of the time anyway. Northern California is just so beautiful in Spring. But I live in a brutally windy area, so you can imagine how slow I was!

95% of the time my rides are lonesome. And I prefer it that way.

          I will check him out

I used to be much more social. But I like to randomly explore things-if there is a nice dead end road, I am making the turn. Too many other semi-serious recreational riders have this “training” mentality which I am…past now. I still remember one group ride during the fall in vineyard country. Don’t know if you have ever been to vineyard country in the fall, but the idea that Mediterranean climates have no fall color is laughable to me! 🙂 Anyway, we were riding down this glorious country lane, surrounded by fall color, no traffic…and all these guys wanted to do is hammer in a paceline, staring at the wheel in front of them. They were all middle aged or above, not really serious racers, yet they were infected by the “training” mentality. I will just do my own thing these days. I am not all that social anyway, and I am less so as I get older. Cue the social scientist dirge about lonely seniors! lol

No I haven’t been. Here the vegetation is either green or brown. Not as colourful. I think I was in cHina when it was fall or spring and the colour, that was so spectacular!
I prefer to ride alone because I keep my own time and can decide at any point to end the ride. Since I don’t race, anyone who does so is not my preferred riding company

I took some cell phone snapshots from my rides this week.. I’ll send them your way this weekend! Nothing else to do but play on the computer…four or five solid days of rain. As riding is the only thing I am allowed to do, I will go absolutely bonkers. We have been told work is 100% remote until the end of the crisis. So no coworker interaction either.

I know…whine, whine, whine. I have a job, I am not living in tent along the bike path blitzed out of my mind on rotgut, I am not sick. Count my blessings!
