I call architecture frozen music. – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
That looks a very interesting architectural project, Mak. Might you tell us more please.

It was/is a guest house in the middle of Luo land and the client wanted something that fit within what I would call, for lack of a better word, traditional architecture. So we considered the round form and used the natural site profile to achieve the levels we required. And it is perched somewhere on a hill which made it quite an interesting project. Every site visit felt like a small hike

Water makes most things beautiful. We have many lakes, rivers, streams, & of course the Pacific ocean on our coast, so I am very partial to water views. Williams Lake itself is within walking distance of us, & the Fraser river is a short trip by vehicle.

Still water, moving water, geysers all make beautiful sounds and are always relaxing to just contemplate.

This is marvelous architecture. There’s something slightly magical about round houses, and if I were desperately wealthy I’d have one. Mine, however, would rotate for optimum viewing. =)

Round houses, because of the symmetry, usually is almost magical. They can however be difficult to plan inside. You might end up with negative (dead) space.

Lovely buildings, Maka. How are things there right now? Our 2020 Year of Disasters continues, as there is yet another major fire in Northern California that has burned into the suburbs yet again. 😦
I did a little drive yesterday, and it was literally 40 miles of charred ashes in the mountains north of me.
Poor Santa Rosa! And now St. Helena. A 40-year-old winery just burned to the ground. 😦
It was so windy this morning that I had to struggle to stay upright on my bicycle.

I have just a news item on the California fires. Terrible news and that’s a lot of destruction and loss to all those involved.
The curfew was relaxed here. It was initially from 9-5 but now it is 11-4. Seems the virus has reduced its active hours or something. And bars can now operate till 10, I think. Beyond that I don’t follow much what’s going on.
I hate crosswinds. I always feel like I am about to be thrown off the bike.

You should have made the guest house like a Malindi pillar tomb, so the guest never needs to leave.

I am talking about our Godbot’s implied threat at 3:24. If the contorted logic or cherry picked verses don’t convince one, then the threat of eternal flames is their next technique.
Their “God” is so AWFUL that even if they were correct, what moral being could worship such a creature?
