I had a pet cantaloupe once but needed to release it back into the wild when it got all soft ‘n smelly on me.

We get lots of deer in our yard. We love to see them. They’ve lost all fear of humans, & traffic. They walk our streets like they own them.

Probably. They do spend a lot of time in our yards, & when my husband was building a replacement fence, they were almost hanging over his shoulder, supervising…..hahahaha….

you are lucky to have still such close proximity to real natural events, most people have to travel miles to see creatures in the wild

indeed i am. the city has a park on one of its extremes so i don’t have to go so far to be in a park.

Those birds resemble Guineas. Lot’s of people like them as they are good at raising an alarm if something disturbs or threatens them. As I just looked it up, to be sure I had the spelling correct ๐ I see they are African natives.
We don’t have antelope here. But the deer are plenty.

They make such loud noise they can take the place of dogs. But I think one would need to have a license to keep them.

Deer, antelope, both long legged grass eaters with horns ๐
I have to wonder though, do antelope present issues with motorists often? Deer wipe out cars here on a regular basis.
