I wanted to blame my shoes, according to the manufacturer, I have exceeded the run by date by over 90km so they are prone to cause injuries. The strange thing is they feel so comfortable now than at the beginning. It’s like that saying of the old broom knowing all the corners or something of that sort. I will take a short break from my running and ride more for a while till this pain goes away and in the meantime do some butt exercises.

Now I’m wondering wth are butt exercises? I worked out a bit when I was younger, still do occaisionally, but have never done butt exercises. I guess I just supposed that whatever sort of excercising I did, the butt just followed along ๐
I’ve only ever used mine for sitting really, didn’t consider any excercises for that.
So… what happened to your foot/feet?

There are butt exercises to strengthen the glutes.
The feet have no issue. There is some pain in the groin area from a hip strain.

Squats are for the quads more than the butt.

They work both. It’s hard to isolate the glutes alone. Also, you might try kickbacks that work the butt and hamstrings.

I have discovered that any exercises that don’t include leaving the house and going some distance are hard for me to keep at. I hope I am able to do these for long.

I’m stressed out at the moment. A lot happening with the family and I’m about to move out in order to separate from my husband. I’m still waiting to hear back from the apartment as to when it’ll be ready.

You strike me a a bit of a hammerhead (that’s a compliment), so you are probably just over-training. Good luck. I recognize the strategy: “Ouch, that hurts bad enough to make me stop hurting it. Let me see if I can make something else hurt instead.”
By the way, do you run with a heel strike or forefoot strike?

I think you are right. Though luckily for cycling, unless I fall, I hardly suffer any injuries.
I think mid foot strike. Coz my shoes are neutral, iirc

Damn! That is insane.
Most of my rides are in the 40-60 range, but I tend to do two or three days in a row.
There is now enough daylight in the evening I will do 20-30 after work tonight. There is lovely countryside five miles from my office that if you time it right to avoid the commute rush,, Suisun Valley is just a lovely place to ride. There is a quality of light in the evening that affects even this hard bitten cynic! ๐

I now have a slightly improved cell phone camera-and more storage space! After being told it would cost $300 to replace the shattered screen alone on my old iPhone, I just walked next door and splurged. TMobile makes it so easy! ๐ In my defense, I have no television and no desktop computer, so my cell phone is EVERYTHING.
