Zoo day

We are idle, can we have some work to do
I am lost, can you show me the way
King of the jungle
Bird, what’s your name
Spot the leopard
Some turbo pop
Let’s graze
Zebra
Speaking Kenyanese
Rhino

Great pictures! I didn’t spot the leopard, but I spotted plenty of rhinos in Walmart recently.

There used to be this terribly snobby and classist and hilarious website called PEOPLE OF WALMART. Simply amazing,

Have to admit I have mixed opinions about zoos. (The remark about being peered at hit home). They all seem somewhat…sad. But I know that humanity has so conquered the earth that there does not seem to be enough room left over for many of the (other) apex species outside zoos and preserves.

Heck, I even have a touch of disquiet about pet dogs. I know they have evolved along with us, do better than their wild cousins, and people do love them. My sister and her husband have FIVE labs (two resulting from an…accident, shall we say) and it is a full time job for her. But it still seems a bit…undignified.

and yet….this is anthropocentrism speaking here. Is our pet cat oppressed in any real way?

I hear you. These animals were either abandoned or had been injured so they are brought to the orphanage for rehabilitation and some are released back to the wild. A win win, I think.

I am with you on pets but John would disagree with us.
