Love that you love your bike. When I was doing a lot of hiking I often took photos of my boots… which I loved.

It’s a good bike. Rides smooth. Comfortable over long distance. There’s everything to love.

I try to remember this. I have had near misses for keeping my head on the ground and not looking up ahead.
You have been sort of MIA.
Did your president get his iPad?

Ben there! When I was 13 I slammed into the back of a parked Austin Cambridge while riding my bike. No fun at all!
Mia.
I am still occupied with supervising the building of the front wall and landscaping the reclaimed land for veggie growing!
What with work as well, I am pretty bushed by the end of the day. But I’m still here, never fear!
Ipad? What am I missing Mr. Mak?

There was a clip recently of him addressing a press conference and he spent the first like 3 minutes asking for his iPad.

Tell me dear, that the high temperatures I heard in the news haven’t created havoc in your neighbourhood

Bad, bad, bad, lost one of our towns south of us, to fire on Wednesday, & don’t yet know if everyone got out. It was so sudden the town was gone in about 20 minutes. They fled in all directions. Their temp on Thursday was 50*C!!!
We’re running 2 air conditioners, fans, & have all drapes closed. I’m preparing suitcases, & kitty carriers, in case anything comes close to us, & our son will come down to get us out. We’ve had an unheard of 43*C here!

That’s horrible. I could send you some of our cold weather. I was cycling in temperatures of about 12ยฐC and by our standards, that’s winter cold.
I hope you stay safe

12* is very comfortable for me. A jacket is enough.
Being surrounded by forestry is not a comfortable feeling in drought conditions, & it’s not getting any better. Our whole city had to evac in 2017, & we were prepared then, but our temps are much hotter now.
Now with the pandemic, evac is sounding more terrible. Many of us are fully vaccinated, but trust in others has eroded This is why our son will come to get us out if necessary rather than relying on rescue buses.

What happened to Lytton is similar (if not the same) as what happened to Talent, a small town in Oregon. Nothing left. A tragedy of the worst kind.

Yes, I remember…..& it’s happening too often. Fort McMurray, Alberta, too, as well as so many on the Pacific side of the continent..

Makes me feel a little silly complaining about our 90 degrees. I google mapped that town. Wow. Does not look like a hot and firey kind of place. ๐ฆ

Lytton has always been one of the hot spots in Canada, but the heat this year has been beyond terrible.

I think our hot days maybe get to 32ยฐC but could be higher in the arid and semi arid lands. But they have no fires because of the sparse vegetation
