First, this excellent post by raut and then a counter post.

I am interested to hear the thoughts of those of my readers in the US though anyone can share their pov.

Serious gun control is absolutely needed. For far too long the lawmakers have ignored and/or downplayed this blatant threat to all of those living here. 🙂 Naked hugs, my Kenyan brother! Have a terrific weekend!

Yes, we need better gun control in the USA. But the political landscape makes that unlikely.

I wonder to what extent the gun problem dates back to slavery, and to the fear of slave owners that there could be an uprising among slaves.

I admit, I stopped reading the BLATHER on the second referenced blog. Besides the fact that I HATE overly long blog posts, it was the same old-same old. Moreover, does anyone else notice that NONE of the pro-gun folk ever offer possible solutions to the current-day problems of people getting slaughtered?

Naturally I agreed with rautakyy. 😊

It continues to amaze me that so many people put their love and possession of GUNS ahead of the death of children and other innocents.

Show the pictures and videos of the dead kids. That’s the only way they’re going to change. Shock them.

    Gun control:

    – a stable stance
    – a firm grip with both hands
    – proper sight alignment
    – relaxed breathing
    – gentle squeeze of the trigger.
