Any weather I can ride in

What is your favorite type of weather?

Shouldn’t be too sunny, too wet or too windy. If I can ride, I can run or hike.

Whenever I am out on a jog or a ride and it starts to rain, I keep going. I never however leave the house in wet weather for any activity. For some reason I have been lucky during my hikes. Never been rained in any of them. But I can’t say this about runs or rides.

What else is there to say about the weather? Only Mark Twain could describe New Mexico weather in ways that would me you laugh. You need to check that description out by the way.

Happy Sunday everyone.

  1. Between 10 – 20 *C, lightly overcast, slight breeze, low humidity……..
Been caught in rain, snow, hail, gale force winds, thunder/lightning……on more than one occasion. NOT FUN!

I like the wind at my back both ways, and cycling in the hail.

I have a fear for wet roads especially when I have to brake suddenly or take sharp corners. And I think hail would make the situation slightly more dangerous.
Wind at my back is welcome anytime

Of all the weather/seasons I think New England in the autumn is about as good as it gets. And you never know what will happen. The birds are still about, the temps are no longer too high for comfort, and the colors of the maples and oaks are just amazing.
In a way it’s like a reward for getting through the summer intact. (we don’t think about snow until we have to, no. no. )

“Such a strong gail against us, let us hope the wind will turn on our way back.” Us Finns love to talk about weather, as it seems the only subject not loaded politically. Of course, that has changed, since a bunch of people on the far right got scared on the subject and decided the climate change must be a hoax, because otherwise they could be blamed for unwillingness to reform their lifestyle to benefit the mankind.

Today we have a snowblizzard – and I am loving every moment of it. That is, I love the protection I have against it. I love my warm clothes, the knowledge I have, that I can and will get indoors and I love the cup of warm tea and how it feels when I step inside.

I am with Barry. I adore thunderstorms, exept perhaps when I am caught in one out sailing. Even then the majesty of nature manifested in the noise and flash of lightning, even the smell of ozone exhilarates me. It is just that in those situations I am busy surviving, so I do not have time to appriciate the weather to full extent.

I do not hate sunshine, but perhaps I do not view it as such a “good weather” as most do, because bright light causes me migraine.

I enjoy a good thunderstorm, but having been caught in an open barn by one, one time too many, I prefer to enjoy them at night, snuggled down in my blankets, while the lightning flashes and the thunder rattles the dishes downstairs…
