Blogs the boss likes

Two blogger buddies nominated me for awards to which I say thank you. Having said that, the awards have rules but as most of you already know, I have a slight apathy to rules. However, in the same spirit, I would like to introduce some blogs that I follow in no given order. This list is however not conclusive and doesn’t mean that your blog isn’t appreciated. It would probably take the whole night if I were to mention all the blogs I follow. I must say from the onset then, that you all, followers and readers alike that you are highly appreciated.

I hope my friends who nominated me find this post as a sufficient response to the awards. Thank you!

A guy without boxers who nominated me is a fine gentleman, true to his nature. He asks the most important question, why has the superstitious naked ape[ as J. Zande calls us] moved so far away from its nature. Thanks very much buddy!

My second nominee is La Hacienda, a fine fellow who lives in Greece that place of classical antiquity. He must be walking in the footsteps of the great Hellenes!

In discussions with my friends about call girls, many people argue that it is wrong to be one claiming there are parts of the body that shouldn’t be used to make money. Well, honest courtesan makes a case for call girls that is difficult to ignore.

There is Ark, who was formerly a king but is now just called Ark which explains why he oscillates between attacking religion and writing about cakes :-D.

My dreamer friend, whose poems tells the story of her travels, her life and the beautiful sunrise from her apartment window.

Livelysceptic for being both lively and sceptical.

Sophiebowns for her captivating stories

Alastairs for pleasant photography.

My longtime friend Club Schadenfreude, the boss, for a dose of geology, idiocy bashing, beer, food and I can’t remember recipes for what else.

I don’t think this fellow is an idiot, but she calls herself  the modernidiot.

Violetwisp which should have just been Violetwhip, she does a lot of whipping.

Marylin at Things I want to tell my mother for her very nice posts.

This list would be incomplete without in his own image, a site dedicated to a critical analysis of the bible coupled with humor and a lot of history lessons from whom I have learnt a lot.

and a friend to this blog of longstanding Daniela.

Special mention is paid to real real me, Debilis whose blog is dedicated to apologetics, and of course Caroline.

Honoring awadz

This has taken a long time to write. It’s like writing an acceptance speech something I must accept am not particularly good at and so you will be kind to forgive me when and if I perform dismally. None the less, allow me to say thank you one to my esteemed followers, readers and commenters. All of you have helped in one way or another to develop this blog to where it is, and I thank you very much.

My friend Daniela at Lantern Post nominated me a while ago for one lovely blog award. The awards have rules which I have discovered an so poor at keeping, I will however try this time round.

  1. Display the award logo on your blog,
  2. Link back to the person who nominated you,
  3. State seven things about yourself:, I detest lateness;  love music; would want to attend my funeral; am passionate about architecture; if I decide to go to school again I would pursue philosophy and lastly if even just for a little while I’d enjoy sitting down with most of you just to talk about how we see
  4. Nominate fifteen other bloggers for this award and link to them,
  1. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements. Since I don’t like rulez, create your own and follow them.

The second award if from my philosopher friend, R.L Culpeper, who makes philosophy almost sound like child play.

The rules are the same as above. Since as you already know, I suck at following rules, allow me to say that for all the guys that I follow, you have wonderful blogs. The photographs inspire, the conversation amuse and the thoughts both educate and entertain and for that allow me to extend this nomination to you all. In case you haven’t received an award or a nomination, consider this my nomination and congratulations for a wonderful blog.

Keep writing friends!

Congratulations again to all of you.

liebster blog award

On Saturday, my good friend Daniela nominated me for a blog award, The Liebstar blog award, for which am grateful. I have a great aversion to follow rules, but I will try and obey some if not all of the rules of this award. Here you will know who the award is given.

to the questions:

  1. What was the title of the first book (including a picture book) you have read? I can’t remember
  2. Can you still remember the name of a person you first kissed? No
  3. Who is your favourite writer and why? I enjoy reading Robert Ludlum, I love drama and he does it perfectly using words in away when you start reading his book you keep turning the pages pages. He is bad for those who love sleep 🙂
  4. If you can be one famous person for a year who would you chose to be and why? Ban ki Moon, the UNSG, he has a duty to the world, to work for peace here, to avert climate crisis on another and so on. He is committed to humanity and I find this a noble undertaking.
  5. Where in the world would you like to live your last days on Earth? Anywhere close to the people I love.
  6. If you can invite five famous people to your home for dinner, who would you invite and why? I would invite the pope, I have several questions for him; Katt Williams just to have a good laugh; Dawkins just to listen to him on genetics and evolution; Denzel Washington he happens to be among my favorite actors and lastly Obama to pick his mind on how it feels like being president of the most powerful country
  7. If you can have one talent what would it be? I’d love to be able to play the piano and sing.
  8. Who is the most important person in your life? It would be difficult to mention just one person. There are several people who are important to me in different ways.
  9. Have you ever lived for more than a year outside your home country? Nope, I haven’t.
  10. What is the scariest thing you can imagine? I can’t imagine anything scary.
  11. If you have a one wish for the world that would come true what would it be? We live in a world free of weapons and hostilities.

The next requirement was that I nominate others for this award. And here is where there is a difficulty. As you have seen already, the award is for blogs with less than 200 followers, the few blogs I follow are either below or above that threshold. It is therefore hard for me to nominate any one blog for the award. It would be difficult to chose.

For all my friends who have just started blogging, therefore consider this a nomination and an encouragement to continue writing and to congratulate those of you who have been at it for a long time now. Your writings and thoughts continue to inspire and inform us. I hope my friend Daniela finds this acceptable.

Lastly as for the questions, I think the above questions will just be fine.

Thank you again Daniela for the nomination 🙂
