This case of four Pakistanis in court for various blasphemy charges is quite scary. And sometimes you don’t even know your accuser so you can face them in court. And what is this with religious sensibilities? Can’t god take a joke? And why be so uptight about what others say of your religion? This reminds me of the comments of the inquisitors, why show mercy anyway and you are going to hell.
has its minions sentencing 9 people to death for blasphemy.
One wonders when god will show up as a witness or a complainant in a court of justice/ law or in this case when will Mo[piss be upon him] show up in his defense to say he has been blasphemed.
We end this broadcast with a quote from T Paine
“People in general know not what wickedness there is in this pretended word of God. Brought up in habits of superstition, they take it for granted that the Bible is true, and that it is good; they permit themselves not to doubt of it, and they carry the ideas they form of the benevolence of the Almighty to the book which they have been taught to believe was written by his authority. Good heavens! it is quite another thing, it is a book of lies, wickedness, and blasphemy.”
Until I am convinced otherwise, blasphemy is a victim-less crime and no man in our day should be punished for a non-existent crime. Pakistan has shown once again they value the respect of a prophet whose existence is questionable and if he did exist then his mannerisms are far from anything holy but are an aberration to the dignity, life and honour of people who have dreams, lives to lead, families to take care and who contribution to humanity matters! Muslims and all theists must first accept that their religious beliefs are ridiculous and we must be allowed to ridicule them without fear of being jailed, till that time we are not free.
