To get to Rusinga, Tom Mboya’s birthplace, from Nairobi, one could take da bus to Mbita or fly to Homa Bay then take a van or for the very adventurous a flight to Kisumu then a van to Lwanda Kotieno then the ferry to Mbita from where you cross to the Island. It’s a small Island with very scenic landscape, Eco-lodges and nice beaches.
