Cool! Great for your health, and walking or running that’s quite a distance. Most my legs have taken me in one shot has been about 14K.

21km is quite a distance. I hope with practice I should do 42 at least before I get to 40.

It is, usually… until yesterday. We were attacked by a little shit who’d escaped from his house. He charged right into our little pack. Not good. My dogs peeled him/her open. Literally. It was ghastly. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I don’t want to think about how that must have looked

Nature is not pretty, my friend, not pretty at all…

Whoa. You witnessed a dog get torn down into pieces by your own dogs, John? Damn. That must have been awful. But yes, nature is brutal indeed. It’s strange how easily we forget this.

Ghastly, I tell you, and it all happened so damn quickly.

I actually didn’t know that dogs can get that ferocious – to the point of actually killing a fellow dog.

It wasn’t dead, but it would have been in a few seconds more. It’s all a blur, but I managed to rip my King Shepherd’s jaw open at, perhaps, the same moment our hound lost its grip on its other side. Whatever the sequence of events, the little thing got free and bolted, one side of its skin and fur completely peeled back and flapping like a loose pocket. Most surprisingly, there was hardly any blood.

It’s the same when I fillet my christian infants for breakfast: hardly a speck of blood to be seen. 😀

You think that’s bad, you should see what it’s like when Presbyterians tear up a Catholic. Whoa, momma! Talk about a bloody mess, and all in the name of the loving lord Jesus!

Awesome, my in shape brother. I once ran 2K in under 4 minutes when christians caught me poisoning one of their wells and chased after me. They had torches and pitch forks with ’em, too. It was like a scene out of “Bride of Frankenstein.”

Good for you! My son has run in several half marathons. I know the preparation and stamina it takes. I don’t walk as much as I used to, but try to do a bit everyday.

Good luck, friend, with future marathons. I’ve never done any. Stuck to backpacking 10–20 miles a day. Much easier 😀

10-20 miles is quite a distance too. Thanks. Maybe I should persuade you to join me in the next marathon

Oh no! Anyway, I need to walk before I can run 😀

Oh, my. The farthest of managed is a 5K, though at one point I did start training for an 8K. Then I got derailed. Now I just do a route march with my dogs at least twice a day.
Congratulations and good luck on doubling it!
