  1. More beautiful pics. I feel like I’m cycling every time I have a discussion on freewill with someone. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I loved seeing those photos – took me back to our visits to Africa. I really want to go back. As my Dad once said, “Africa gets in your soul.” He spent many months in Basutoland as it was, now Lesotho, and in South Africa. ๐Ÿ™‚

This reminds me of a story my brother-in-law tells, which is hysterical the way he relates it. He was a little kid and his family was living in Australia. His parents wanted to have a little adult time and sent the three kids to various places. I think his sister, who went on to become a harpist, went to a music camp. I’m not sure about his brother. Ralph, they decided to send on a bicycle trip across the Australian outback. I forget how old he was, but he was just barely old enough to be allowed on the trip, but prepubescent. He said that his parents dropped him off and there he was with a dozen or so rugged adults with outdoor gear and trail bikes and he was there with his standard children’s bicycle like you might ride around the park on.

He said that they took off and as time wore on he would slowly fall to the back working his little legs as hard as possible just to not lose sight of the group in the distance. He’d catch up when they took a break, only to arrive just as they were taking off again. He tells the story as the time his parents tried to kill him by abandoning him in the Australian outback with only a bicycle.

Your photo of the person struggling on the terrain reminded me of that. Also, one photo had a kid in it.

I’ll have to send this post to my friend who’s big on bicycle stuff.
