A few days ago I read this post by Robert Nielsen on the threat posed to the western values by Islam or rather by immigrant Muslims and it occurred to me there are many groups of people who could say that the world is always in a flux. Recall the Europeans posed a threat to values of everyone they colonized. In fact, it was not just a threat to values, it included wholesale murder, rapine, dispossession, enslavement and I don’t know what else.
Well, let’s hope the murderous few heading ISIS or members don’t go beyond Iraq forcing all of us to learn Arabic and show our other faces five times a day if not more to an imaginary being with a pedo for a prophet.

Speaking of which, how’s that resolution to improve your diet going? As you must surely know, the health risks of obesity for someone who is three feet tall are even worse than for a person of average height.
For your deity’s sake, at least switch to leaner cuts. Or better yet, try the new I can’t believe it’s not Christian Baby substitute made from Tofu. Your godforsaken heart will be forever grateful you’re not plugging up its gaping hole with faithy acids.

Don’t lose hope for the grand-kids yet. It will take a long time before they make any inroads. They look to be a big problem but I think it is just effective propaganda

Interesting article. Western values are rooted in the past. Silly (sexist) ideas based on old ideals. Capitalism, liberalism, arts, none of which are relevant.
I wouldn’t mind learning Arabic. Would be quite useful where I live. Think there were some classes in my local Spanish town a while back. I tried an online thing. Said mojadan or something to a local shopowner and he feigned ignorance. Usual story.

The interesting aspect is that Islam, or certainly Moorish society has contributed towards Western Europe. I’m obviously talking about Spain and Gib here. Gib was Moorish for far longer than it was Spanish and we still have the Moorish Castle and the Moorish Baths. When Franco closed the frontier, Gib relied heavily on Morocco and much of our fresh produce still comes from there.
In Spain we have the brilliance of the Mezquita in Cordoba, many of our old towns are built on the original Moorish layout and our towns have origins in Arabic names. On the hillsides, the terracing for olive groves was done by the Moors, many continuing to exist.
The bad is the same on both sides, is it not?
Is ‘western values’ merely a euphemism for christianity?

Alright, you’ve piqued my interest. In what way are these ideals silly, sexist, antiquated and irrelevant? I much prefer living in a nation partial to western values than one guided by theocratic ideals—don’t you?
